Cooper John knows exactly the way to his Mommy's heart.
Last night Jason and Emma Jo were at FBC's softball game, so I was alone with Grace and Cooper. After getting Gracie safely tucked into bed I took Cooper to his room. We rocked and cuddled as I tried to get him to go to sleep. He was almost out when all of a sudden he realized he was almost asleep. He immediately squirmed his way until he was laying on my chest with his head on my shoulder. He almost fell asleep again at which point he started kissing me. He would grab my face pucker up and kiss me full on the lips. Then he would lean back, look me in the eyes, and giggle. Clearly he knew that I couldn't resist little sloppery kisses and this would surely give him more time before he had to go to sleep. I tried my best not to laugh, but a few chuckles did erupt. This continued for a few minutes until I got my self-control back and finished rocking him to sleep.
I'm trying to enjoy these little moments of his babyhood. I know how quickly he is going to be a big boy and want nothing to do with snuggling with his mommy.

Ladies Man
Cooper sure does know how to charm the ladies. Each morning when he sees his sisters for the first time his eyes light up and he smiles. Sometimes he even squeals with delight.
This morning he and I were cuddling on the bed when Emma Jo woke up. She crawled onto the bed next to us. Cooper noticed the Taylor Swift t-shirt she was wearing and immediately pointed at the picture and said "girl". (It sounds like "gurl" but we knew what he was saying.) Then he leaned over and kissed Taylor. The girls and I thought it was adorable and clapped for him. Of course Cooper loved the attention so he repeated his actions at least a half dozen times. Then Emma Jo asked for a kiss and Cooper very willingly gave each of us a couple of kisses.
A great way to start the day...

Hugs and Kisses
This weekend I have to deal with all of the tantrums, settle all of the arguements and deal with all of the attitude. That means I also get all of the giggles, all of the hugs and all of the kisses.
Tonight as I zipped up Cooper's sleep sack, getting him ready for bed, I asked Cooper for a kiss. His eyes lit up, he leaned in and kissed me. It is the first time that I have asked for a kiss and he has purposefully given me one. Of course he hasn't yet learned how to pucker so it wasn't the most elegant kiss I've ever received, but it was my best today. I sure do love that little boy.
